AN unregistered Chinese medical practitioner was fined a total of $8,000 yesterday.

  Choi Ching-chun, 60, who is qualified on the mainland, pleaded guilty in Eastern Court to managing an unregistered clinic and possession of a Part I poison.

  Magistrate Michael Hill fined her $5,000 and $3,000.

  Choi has had three similar convictions during the past 10 years.

  The court was told a policewoman posed as a patient on June 23 this year and visited the clinic in Shau Kei Wan Road. Choi was arrested after the consultation.
