Fuelled  by fury, energised by electronic ecstasy and banging with booming beats, the trademark sound created by The Crystal Method's (TCM) Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland has always enthralled with its cinematic, escapist, futuristic edge.

Since forming in 1994, the duo have become known as the US version of Britain's  Chemical Brothers, entrancing a  huge global raving and clubbing population.    TCM also  created soundtracks for popular culture, where their songs subliminally infiltrated unsuspecting minds via movie trailers, television advertisements and

video games.

Long-time fans will love the duo's fourth album, a ravaging rock'n'rave tribute called Legion of Boom. All the elements of rage, roar and raciness you'd expect from TCM are here (and yes, if you never liked them before, it's as noisy, furious and chaotic as ever).

To diversify the rocktronic vibe, a handful of impressive collaborators join the TCM mayhem. Guests  include The Roots' rapper Rahzel,  poet Hanifah Walidah,  former Limp Bizkit  guitarist Wes Borland, and Bell Rays' singer Lisa Kekaula.   Their contributions make up  some of the album's standout tracks. They also symbolise the future of electronica - into the world of fusion fantasy, where music has no boundaries.

Critics will say TCM's sound has hardly changed since 1997's debut electrifier, Vegas. Electronica, rap and metal purists will reject the hybrid vision. Everyone else will wonder what hit them.
