Hung Hing Printing Group managing director Matthew Yum Chak-ming said yesterday competitive pressure and rising material costs, along with power and water shortages, could hit the smaller operators in Guangdong. 'This could help relieve the pressure for larger players,' he said. The printer and corrugated carton maker yesterday posted an 8.7 per cent gain in net profit for last year to $264.74 million on $2.02 billion in turnover, an 11.58 per cent rise. Earnings per share were 46.3 cents. A final dividend of 20 cents will be paid.
