Local number crunchers will take on the challenge from their mainland counterparts in a mathematics competition today.

More than 130 Primary Four to Six students will take part in the contest, to be held at Yuen Long Long Ping Estate Wai Chow School.
About 30 are from Hong Kong and the rest are from Beijing and Shenzhen.
The competition will last for one hour and 45 minutes, with questions from the World Class Arena and Maths Olympiad - two of the better-known international mathematics quiz.
