Dayo Wong Chi-wah is one of Hong Kong's best stand-up comedians. He began his career as an actor with the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre. He then went on to be a radio disc jockey. Bored, he decided to take a chance and introduce Hong Kong to stand-up comedy. A veteran actor, writer, singer, comedian and director, Wong's better-known performances include TVB Jade sitcom War of the Genders (co-starring Dodo Cheng Yu-ling and Siu Keung, his pet cockroach) and his Freeman Show (with Cheung Tat-ming and Francis Ng Chun-yu) which opened to rave reviews and full houses in 1990.
