Beer festival brewing up frothy frolics
More than 10,000 beer lovers are expected to be drawn to Lan Kwai Fong when it holds a summer beer festival on the last day of the month.
The festival, organised by Lan Kwai Fong Association and sponsored by Carlsberg, will allow participants to sample 100 types of beer, including a few European brands that have never been sold in Hong Kong.
Association director Stella Luk Chee-yen said beer would be flowing for $25 half a pint and $35 a pint.
The festival will run from 1pm to midnight on Saturday, July 31.
Traditional beer festival games such as speed drinking, blind tasting and arm wresting will be held, while more than 20 restaurants and bars will serve snacks.
Models will parade around the streets, while DJs will ensure an endless stream of music.
