The girls were promoting the Harmonic Health Beauty Centre, a weigh-loss clinic. They aren't just models; Candy and Suki are former clients, each having shed 9kg.
'Women like beauty, they want to be slim,' said Tom Li Pui-kan of Harmonic Health. 'It's summer, they want to reduce fat to show off their bodies.'
In Cantonese slang, ice cream also means a good looking woman. Nine out of 10 women don't think they are slim enough, a survey by the Hong Kong Young Women's Christian Association has found.
