Murder staged by disgruntled son to look like robbery: paper
Updated at 6.26pm: An apparent robbery case in Sheung Shui on Wednesday - in which a 52-year-old man died from stab wounds - was really a murder arranged by the man's 21-year-old son, local media reported on Friday.
Ming Pao reported that the 21-year-old had developed a grudge against his father, surnamed Leung. This began when his father left him and his mother 14 years ago to marry a woman in China.
After an argument with his father on Wednesday, the 21-year-old planned his father's death with a close friend, surnamed Cheung, the paper reported.
He pretended to attend a job interview in Wah Shan Tsuen on Wednesday night while his father waited nearby.
At 9.32pm, Cheung stabbed Leung with a knife four times and then tried to make the attack look like a robbery, the paper reported. Leung was stabbed four times in the stomach.
