ONE of the most bizarre (some might even say cynical) advertisements currently on display in the bowels of the MTR shows tennis star Michael Chang in beatific pose with what appears to be an open Bible in his hand, surrounded by a group of youngsters staring glowingly in the direction of their sporting god. What this scene, captured in a pastoral setting, has to do with marketing teenage fashion is a bit puzzling. Although it might have something to do with the tennis ace's born-again tendencies. Still, God, as they say, moves in mysterious ways - and is not without a sense of humour. So we can safely assume that when Chang randomly flipped the pages of the leather bound Bible in his hand for the purposes of the photo-shoot, the Good Book opened up at the section which speaks sternly about matters God and mammon.
