I would have to say Linkin Park. Although there is a lot of screaming and rapping, their songs describe how they feel about the way people treat others, how they're tired of people lying, cheating and finding faults in themselves and others.

That would be Alanis Morissette - famous for the strong, emotional messages and personal experiences featured in her powerful songs. She rarely uses explicit language (unlike most singers now) and writes her own lyrics. With her  natural, bold, unique voice and incredible talent, she'll always rock my world.

My favourite band is Linkin Park. Why? The masses demand to know. Well, I have been  listening to Linkin Park's clean lyrics and melodies since their rise to fame and they offer an excellent alternative to other 'packaged' bands. I also like J.S. Bach. His music is universally appealing and exceptionally expressive. It's great!

Good Charlotte. I like them because they're different. Their lyrics are meaningful to those who listen to them and particular songs touch on issues teens have to deal with today. I find that is something not all bands have. The fact that they also have Joel Madden helps.

My favourite singer is Dinah Washington, who was the most gifted vocalist in American popular music history. She understood the power of lyrics and the importance of allowing the emotions to come through. She was a great stylish artist who had no limits.  Her songs have fired my interest in  jazz music.
