The Regent Resort Chiang Mai in northern Thailand is set on an 8.1-hectare site and is expected to open in September next year.

The US$21 million property will be developed by Sribathana Garden, a joint venture between Sribathana Co and the Minor group.

It will feature 64 pavilion suites in 16 clusters of Lanna-style two-storey buildings.

The Lanna architectural style is a cultural blend of Indian, Chinese and other powerful regions during the 13th century.
