REGENT International Hotels has won a 20-year contract to manage a resort hotel in Thailand.

The Regent Resort Chiang Mai in northern Thailand is set on an 8.1-hectare site and is expected to open in September next year.
The US$21 million property will be developed by Sribathana Garden, a joint venture between Sribathana Co and the Minor group.
It will feature 64 pavilion suites in 16 clusters of Lanna-style two-storey buildings.
The Lanna architectural style is a cultural blend of Indian, Chinese and other powerful regions during the 13th century.

Each of the suites will offer more than 750 sq ft of living space.
