AT the SEARCC '93 exhibition, the Hong Kong Productivity Council has organised the ''Systems Integration Pavilion''. It is an extension of the open systems pavilion in CENIT Asia '92 but offers broader coverage. Following the growth of open systems in today's market, the integration of different hardware platforms and software tools has become a matter of concern among vendors and users. This has meant that multi-vendor connectivity is a matter of vital interest in the field of information technology. At the pavilion, application developers and systems' integrators will exhibit ''total solutions'' in different business sectors. Also, systems integration among the latest hardware and software will be displayed. Another focus will be how the latest CAD/CAM systems integrate different hardware devices to provide the best combinations. Connectivity, which is the fundamental concept behind systems integration, and its application in training services, will also be featured. Seminars on the subject of systems integration will be held in conjunction with the expo. They will feature international speakers and technical and marketing consultants who will be sharing their expertise and providing a comprehensive picture of the latest developments in systems integration. According to the organisers, admission will be free for a qualified audience selected by the organising committee.
