The government has apparently been working too hard in promoting the coming Legco elections in September in television adverts and on its website.
One of the TV advertisements showing in the past week appealed to members of the public to stand for the election.
The advertisement said: 'To make our society even better, we need a variety of voices.'
'Stand for election as a Legislative Council member. And you will have the opportunity to represent the public in the council. Let's work towards a brighter future for Hong Kong.'
Of course, there is nothing wrong with the advertisement. But LoDown just wonders who among the 162 candidates standing in the election did so because of the appeal.
LoDown is pretty sure that those who did run because of the ads will not get enough votes to get their nomination deposits back.
