ICE SKATING SHOW Skaters take centre stage in Pinocchio on Ice 2004. It tells the story of a wooden boy puppet who dreams of becoming a real child. The performance features an international cast which includes professional skaters and Cantonese voiceovers by local celebrities Louis Koo Tin-lok and Twins. It runs from tomorrow until Sunday at 8pm, with weekend matinees at 4.30pm, at the Hong Kong Coliseum. FOOD FOR THOUGHT An interactive exhibition explores the city's food culture. Poems, contributed by Leung Ping-kwan, along with images by photo illustration artist Lee Ka-sing and installations by Millie Chen, offer a new experience of Hong Kong's food culture. Hong Kong Foodscape - Text Image Installation runs until October 4 at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum. Admission fee is $10 (adults) and $5 (students). Free admission on Wednesdays. Enquiries on 2180 8188. STRIKE A CHORD Indie favourites Kitty and Friends, Goodmorningloria, Libido, Hard Candy and InLove will join Lamentation from Taiwan at a show presented by the YMCA. The event, aimed at promoting creativity among girls, also features artworks by budding female artists. The concert will take place on Friday at the YMCA Assembly Hall in Tsim Sha Tsui.
