A summer charity concert with an Austrian theme aims to delight those with an ear for the sounds of Mozart, Lehar, Strauss and many more. The concert - A Night in Vienna - featuring renowned Austrian soprano Elisabeth Freundlinger (pictured) and local violinist Lui Chan, aims to raise funds for the Heep Hong Society to help disabled children and their families in Hong Kong. To give the evening a more Austrian atmosphere, sculptures of the 'Series of Love' by Austrian artist Paul Muhlbauer will be displayed at the concert. One piece entitled Exuberant Joy, which is on display at the Hong Kong Chinese Art Studio in Wyndham Street, will be auctioned during the intermezzo. Chief Secretary Donald Tsang Yam-kuen and his wife will be guests of honour on August 31 at 7pm at the Island Shangri-La hotel. Tickets cost $1,000 and can be booked at www.austrian-association.com.hk .
