DBS Vickers in the hunt for frontline brokers

DBS Vickers Securities, one of Asia's largest securities and futures brokerages, is looking for three to four frontline brokers to join its team.

The company was looking for candidates who knew the business, had experience and were eager and outgoing, head of corporate sales Kevin Leung said.

'We're looking for good salespeople who can take the ball and run with it,' he said.

DBS Vickers Securities is part of the DBS banking group in Hong Kong and is responsible mainly for marketing and selling Asian equities. The company is looking to attract salespeople whose customer base is high net worth individuals and who can bring some of their clients over with them.

Candidates with at least two or three years' experience are preferred. However, those with the ambition and ability may also find opportunities within the company.

'We want responsible, mature individuals who know the business, and who are honest and can go out and develop a client base,' Mr Leung said.

DBS Vickers Securities in Hong Kong employs about 200 people, half of which are in sales. DBS Vickers Securities Singapore is one of the country's leading securities houses. It is the securities arm of the DBS Group, which is one of Southeast Asia's largest banking groups.

It has full stockbroking licences in Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand and Indonesia.
