GARY WONG, a graduate of the University of Hong Kong, wants to become a columnist. Through writing, he wants to share his everyday life experiences, feelings and thoughts with readers.

Mr Wong has a social sciences degree, with majors in sociology and psychology, which he believes will help him fulfil his dream of becoming a writer.

He said his educational background had made him an excellent communicator and sensitive to people and social environments. It also provided him with the tools to approach and solve problems using scientific methods.

'When I meet people, I am sensitive to their behaviour and language. When I see what they are wearing, I may guess what their personality is like,' he said.

Mr Wong said he hoped to write for a magazine or newspaper, and was clear about the content of his column. It would focus on common, everyday events that most people shared, such as taking the bus or MTR.
