Teenage Hong Kong swimming sensation Hannah Wilson has been offered a scholarship at a private school in the United States known for producing international champions.

Pine Crest School in Florida, where Hannah trained in preparation for the Athens Olympics last month, wants the 15-year-old record breaker to join their high school team next year.

Under the leadership of former US national coach Jay Fitzgerald, the school has produced more than 20 swimmers who have gone on to win medals at major international competitions, including the Olympics and world championships.

Hannah and her parents are considering the offer, which would cover all tuition fees and swimming training for two years.

'We will look at all the possibilities and make a decision as a family,' Hannah's mother, Jane Wilson said. 'We will talk to as many people as possible to make sure we make the right decision.'

Speaking from Athens, Hannah said she had not made her mind up and would take her time. 'I'd love to go to Pine Crest, but I'm not sure I want to leave Hong Kong.'
