If you're one of the many who has jumped on the low-carbohydrate bandwagon but are tired of ordering a meal and pushing aside the pasta, rice or potatoes, it's getting a little easier to find restaurants that are creating dishes to satisfy your dietary needs. The Peak Cafe (9 Shelley Street, Central, tel: 2140 6877) has added some low-carb dishes to the menu, including garlic chicken skewers with Asian-style coleslaw ($105), garlic shrimp with avocado dip ($48), shrimp-stuffed eggs($48) and ricotta-filled pancakes ($45). The restaurant has a three-course low-carb set lunch for $88 plus 10 per cent. The Ritz-Carlton in Central has low-carb options on the set lunch and dinner menus in The Cafe.
