Graft-fighter's wife lost both legs in early morning blast
Police in Hebei have offered a 10,000 yuan reward for information leading to the arrest of a bomber who attacked the home of a corruption fighter.
The wife of Li Huisheng , director of the anti-corruption bureau in Xingtai city, was seriously injured in the blast last Thursday, while Mr Li and his son were unharmed.
Police said the main suspect was a man wearing a black T-shirt who took a taxi to Mr Li's home in Jinhua district and placed the bomb at his doorway, the Beijing-based Legal Evening News reported.
'The man in a black T-shirt arrived by a taxi carrying a bag around 6.40am on Thursday morning. At around 7.30am he left the scene looking flustered,' a witness was quoted as saying.
'He hailed a taxi and entered the car even before it fully stopped. Right after his departure, I heard the explosion.'
Mrs Li left the house at 7.31am to buy breakfast for the family and triggered the blast when she opened the door, according to police.
