Maggie Cheung Ho-yee was a band member before she became an actress.  In 1991, she joined an all-girl  band. Unfortunately, the group was not very successful  and split up in the end.

Cheung entered Miss Hong Kong Pageant in 1994 and won The Most Promising Artist of the Pageant award. TVB recognised her talents and soon signed her up.
