Summer's almost over, so all you wakeboarders should be getting a perfect score on your whirly-birds. And here's the perfect opportunity to show off your talents: the Caring for Children Foundation is organising a wakeboard charity competition to raise funds for disabled children and orphans on the mainland.

Several artists, including Margaret Chung Lai-kei and Sherming Yiu, will compete in the artists/guests competition, while wakeboard enthusiasts are welcome to join the open competition as long as they collect a donation of $1,000.

Professionals such as Singapore's Kelvin Tan, China's Chen Li Li, and Hong Kong's Leo To, Vincent Law, Wen Ka-choy, Tom Gaffney and Cheng Wai-nam will provide demonstrations.

The event, to celebrate the foundation's 10th anniversary, will take place at Sai Kung's Chong Hing Water Sports Centre on September 18.

Application forms can be obtained from X-game, Island Wake and the foundation's website www.cfcf.org.hk. The deadline for entries is September 12.
