IT was a marriage made in a Christian theme park.

Tammy Faye Bakker exchanged vows with an old family friend, Kansas developer Roe Messner, while her ex-husband, fallen TV evangelist Jim Bakker, served time in prison for fraud.

Messner built much of the Heritage USA Christian complex in Fort Mill, South Carolina, which was run by Tammy's ex-husband, and recently divorced his wife, Ruth Ann.

About 50 people attended Sunday's brief, non-denominational ceremony.

''Tammy sang Jesus Loves Me with a pre-recorded orchestra, ballad-style. It was beautiful,'' said Ruth Gibson, a society columnist.

The Bakkers ended their 30-year marriage last year. Tammy said she was still friends with Bakker, who is serving an eight-year jail sentence and is due for release on October 20, 1994.
