Kick TVB into touch
AS Michael Peart and Teri Fitsell have both expressed their feelings towards the coverage of Italian Football on TVB, I thought I'd better add my two pennies' worth in the hope that the more complaints there are regarding this programme, the more chance there is TVB will do something about it. In a word, the coverage is awful! It does seem that there is a new production company involved owing to the discontinuity of the featured match.
For the past three years, Italian Football was covered by a company called CSI (the same people who do the current English Football programme).
The featured match, although lasting only 40 minutes or so, was made to look like it was played in its entirety.
Now it seems the current producers no longer take the time and care needed to edit down a game. Viewers are treated to jumpy scenes and therefore jumpy commentary.
It is obvious that the current programme is substandard and that TVB are cutting down costs by buying second-rate shows.
That's all well and good, but what about the viewers? Don't we have a say? I say, bring back Martin Tyler and Ian Darke. ALAN JONES Kennedy Town
