Action star tired of delivering a cut above

Martial arts movie star Jet Li Lin-kit (above) helped his colleague balance out his eyebrows when shooting the movie Hero, which hit screens in the US this month.

The action star gashed the eyebrow of Donnie Yen Ji-dan, with whom he had a spectacular on-camera fight in the Chinese-language movie. Ten years ago, he did the same thing to Yen's other eyebrow in another film.

This may explain why 41-year-old Li, who began studying wushu at the age of nine, is interested in doing a movie where he doesn't need to kick anything.

'But no studio gives me the chance - from Asia, China, Europe, the United States,' Li told SignOnSanDiego.com. 'I don't get paid money to gamble. Martial arts movies already have some [box office] insurance.'
