And if you're a soccer crazy with a yen for filmmaking but haven't entered, get yourself into the competition and, who knows, maybe you'll create the next Shaolin Soccer.
Your short film may also gain you an invitation to the Berlinale Talent Campus (February 12-17) during the 55th Berlin International Film Festival, and to the 2006 Fifa World Cup in Germany for a week.
The winning films will be screened at the two events.
To enter, produce a short film from 30 seconds to five minutes long, in mini-DV or DV-cam format, expressing your passion for soccer, film and your country's culture. Any genre is acceptable but it must be in English or with English subtitles. Check www.berlinale-talentcampus.de for details. Happy shooting!
