In his first appearance at the Olympics, Zhu Qinan became one of the youngest champions in shooting and set a new world record of 702.7 points. 'My aim is to be the best in whatever competition I'm in and wherever I shoot. I want to dedicate this to my coach who tries every day to calm me down. I do sometimes get impatient and I'm too much in a rush. I was quite nervous at first, but I spoke to a lot of people who told me to calm down before I began my shoot. I was more relaxed than usual. My performance was as good as it could be.'
