Great working conditions, ample annual leave and oodles of career development and training opportunities await successful applicants for engineering, human resources (HR) and production and materials control positions.

A slew of senior positions have just cropped up at a big-name hi-tech engineering organisation, with opportunities in both Hong Kong and the mainland municipality of Dongguan.

SAE Magnetics (HK), a wholly owned subsidiary of household-name TDK, is one of the world's leading independent manufacturers of magnetic recording heads, head gimbals assemblies and head stack assemblies for computer disk drivers.

Hong Kong-based positions include human resources manager, recruitment and production material control (PMC) manager, while vacancies in Dongguan range from senior photolithographic engineer to senior project engineer and senior warehouse supervisor.

As part of the rapidly expanding hi-tech engineering industry, SAE's business was on the up and its customer base was expanding, SAE's HR manager, Alice Lai, said. As a result, most positions on offer were new.

The manufacturing and operational roles on offer - including PMC manager and the two engineering positions - focused on 'monitoring mass production lines including quality control, materials control and planning, production capacity, yield improvement and scheduling and project management with customers', Ms Lai said.
