For us, it's called ping-pong, but when you get a silver medal in the Olympics for the same sport, it's aptly referred to as table tennis.
CitySeen caught up with Hong Kong's Olympic table tennis wizards Ko Lai-chak (left) and Li Ching at the Hong Kong Football Association's 90th anniversary gala dinner.
The pair, who have received numerous freebies from eager sponsors, including cash bonuses, a year of free rides on the MTR and KCR, life insurance plans and more, said their favourite gift was the sound of their name being called out by fans.
The duo practise for up to six hours daily and intend to compete in the 2008 Games. When CitySeen asked if their new-found fame had sent nice girls flocking their way, Ko smiled and said: 'Yes, there are a lot of nice girls, but none have come flocking our way. We have a really boring life. Number one right now is table tennis and that is all we really do. Really!'
