If you're a dog owner who's had to stay home on a Saturday night because your pooch sits in a corner and gives you those terribly sad eyes each time you leave the house, then we'll be seeing both of you this Saturday at Aria restaurant. Hong Kong Dog Rescue will be celebrating its first anniversary with a party for dogs and their human slaves at the restaurant. An entrance fee of $250 per person will buy two drinks and unlimited canapes. Special cocktails will include the tail wagger, barking mad, long slow pee against the wall and poodle punch. Entry is free for canine companions, who will have a special area within The Forum for socialising. The suggested dress code is 'party wear'. And for the lucky few bitches (that's female dogs, not cranky women), there will be pink satin and net dresses with hats as prizes. Proceeds will go to helping save abandoned and unwanted dogs, as everyone in the organisation works on a voluntary basis. People and dogs must behave. Aria is at The Forum, Exchange Square. The party is from 6pm to 9pm. E-mail hongkongdogrescue @yahoo.com for information.
