An all-male ballet company is treating Hong Kong audiences to a different flavour of dance.

Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo - affectionately known as the Trocks - was founded in 1974 by a group of dancers who wanted to present a playful and entertaining take on classical ballet.

The Trocks first performed late-night shows off the beaten track in New York's Broadway circuit, but soon established themselves as a major dance phenomenon.

By the end of December, they will have performed 156 shows around the world this year.

'We were here 12 years ago to perform at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui and we are glad to be back,' said Tory Dobrin, the Trocks' artistic director.

'We'd like to bring the audience some good, fun dancing and hope they will enjoy the show as much as we do.'
