Well-established conventional ship operator GMT Shipping Line, which specialises in the transport of steel products from Russia and the Black Sea ports to West Africa, is looking for an assistant marine superintendent.
Although this position will be based in Hong Kong, the assistant marine superintendent's duties will include regular travel throughout the region.
To be considered for this challenging post, candidates will need to hold a chief mate's foreign-going licence.
Potential candidates should have at least five years' experience as a chief mate, loading steel products on various types of vessels.
However good a seafarer you are, you will also need to be computer literate and have mastered Microsoft Office.
Due to the nature of this role, a strong sense of teamwork and team-building skills are prerequisites, in particular, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills will take you a long way.
