GOLD CAPTURE (Nap) is much better than his form suggests and now looks ready to win in this afternoon's Class Five sixth event.

Peter Ng Bik-kuen's four-year-old has only been lightly raced but went firmly into the notebooks when making a belated reappearance last season and running on to be sixth to Radiant Sun.

He was then the medium of significant support on the final day but couldn't go a metre on the rain-affected track.

Because of this poor last run he could start at reasonable odds this afternoon and I do like to try and find my followers a horse which is going to start at a bit of value. After all that's what the game is all about.

His price should be further enhanced by the presence of Danny Lee rather than Tony Cruz on his back. Cruz rode him last time and the general public may well misinterpret the change in riders as to suggest that Gold Capture can't win.

Make no mistake, he can. He is flying in his work and looks far, far too good for Class Five. The only worry is the 1,800-metre trip at the first time of asking.
