These lamp sculptures created under the theme of 'Metamorphosis' by part-time artist Anita Lee Kwai-fong form part of a collection of works on show at the Hong Kong Arts Centre until tomorrow. They were produced by graduates of the BA in Fine Art programme jointly run by the Arts Centre and the School of Art and Culture at RMIT University, Australia.
Ms Lee said she drew her inspiration from cocoons. 'Some could never turn into butterflies. Similarly, among human beings too, some have failed to make a new start in their lives because they could not get over some fears or overcome difficulties in their lives,'' said Ms Lee, a secretary aspiring to become an art teacher.
