Favourite designer: Comme des Garcons. 'It's stylish, sophisticated, balanced and very international, and I  have a close connection as it is a Japanese label.'

Favourite clothes: T-shirt and pants. 'I like casual clothes, they have to be comfortable.'

Shoes: Kate Spade, Jil Sander. 'Simple, feminine and flat.'

Watch: Rolex Date Just. 'My husband and I got ourselves a Rolex each when we got married; he has the GMT Master II.'

Jewellery: Agete. 'It's a Japanese brand ... I bought rings and earrings.'

Skin care: Shu Uemura. 'My favourite is the eye cream from the Beta-G series.'

Cleansing oil: Shu Uemura. 'I like the enriched oil because of its orange colour, but I use the classic oil [yellow] in the morning and the premium oil [green] in the evening.'

Lipstick: Rouge lipstick from Shu Uemura. 'My mother  used it, and I played  with it as a little girl.'

Fragrance: 'I don't  use one.'

Mobile phone: Toshiba J-T010.

Camera: Panasonic DM CF7.

Music: Aco. 'She is a Japanese artist. Her music is very relaxing. I usually listen to her when I am drawing; it's very inspiring.'

Books: 'I prefer magazines, such as Spur, a Japanese magazine. It is very fashion- and lifestyle-oriented. I like its positive view.'

Pets: A cat.

Food: Siu long pau, dim sum and udon noodles.

Coffee or tea? Coffee. 'My friends  bring coffee beans from the United States.'

What's on your bedside table? Magazines, two stuffed toys and a small TV.

What would you take to a desert island? 'My husband and my cat - that's all I need.'
