MTR staff check out the new pedestrian subway that opened yesterday in Tsim Sha Tsui.

Connecting the MTR station with a Kowloon Canton Railway station, which is still under construction, the $1 billion  subway is 400 metres long and will be open daily from 5.50am to 1.15am. The East Rail extension is expected to open this year, allowing passengers to change trains between it  and the MTR at Tsim Sha Tsui or Kowloon Tong.
