A TEENAGER took her mother's jewellery worth more than $7,000, Western Court heard yesterday.
Magistrate Ian Candy ordered Meighan Jennifer Williams and Mark Kiernan, both 18, to be bound over for one year after Williams had pleaded not guilty to theft and Kiernan to handling stolen goods.
Prosecutor Annie Wong offered no evidence on the two counts against the defendants and they agreed to be bound over to be of good behaviour.
The court heard that Carol Anne Williams, 45, realised jewellery was missing in her Deep Water Bay home on September 22.
She questioned her daughter but the girl denied any involvement. The matter was reported to the police three days later.
After investigation, the police found several items at a Wan Chai pawnshop which were like those Mrs Williams had reported missing.
