Man in serious condition after attack by thief
A 45-year-old man was in a serious condition after being bashed over the head by a robber in Shekkipmei. Police said the man was attacked from behind as he returned to his public rental unit at 1am. His screams for help alerted his elder sister, who called police. No arrest has been made.
motorcyclist injured in hit-and-run incident
A motorcyclist was injured when he was rammed by a car from behind in Mongkok. Police said a green car sped away after the crash. The injured man, 39, was taken to Princess Margaret Hospital after the accident in the New Territories-bound lane of West Kowloon Corridor. He was discharged after treatment.
Police arrest 30 in raid on second-hand market
Police arrested 30 people, including four mainlanders, suspected of handling stolen property in Shamshuipo, Kowloon. More than 200 officers sealed off the area around Pei Ho Street and searched 30 stalls selling second-hand electronic goods, seizing suspected stolen property.
