ROYAL RIDDLE

Choreographer Natalie Weir and designer Bill Haycock will present a ballet version of Puccini's operatic masterpiece Turandot. The production, presented by Hong Kong Ballet, will be staged on Friday at 8pm and on Saturday at 3pm and 8pm at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts' Lyric Theatre.

The story is about Chinese Princess Turandot, who fears love. Any suitor seeking to marry the princess must answer three riddles. If he fails, he will die. But she is transformed by Calaf, who correctly answers the riddles and kisses her.
