Name: Lee Tze-ching Age: 14 School: Pui Ching Middle School Achievements: Figure skater Tze-ching won two gold and two silver medals at last month's Skate Asia 2004 competition in Taiwan. Over the past five years, the teenager has won gold medals at several international events in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong. With an official skating level of 'Freestyle 8', Tze-ching hopes to compete with the world's best at the Winter Olympics. To enhance her skills on the ice, Tze-ching takes jazz and modern dance lessons. 'My role model is Michelle Kwan,' said Tze-ching. 'She has beauty, strength and confidence. 'I love ice-skating because it lets me express myself and makes me feel strong and confident.' Mentor: Top local coach Brian Chan Yan-ho says Tze-ching has the potential to compete in the world's elite senior events. 'Tze-ching could make the 2006 Olympics in Italy, and certainly the 2010 Games. Many of the competitors are about 15 or 16, so she would be the right age. But she has a lot of hard work to do. She has to be at a very high standard before she can compete at that level. We will decide if she is ready in two years. She needs to build her endurance and increase her power.'
