Au Yuet Ching, principal of YCH Wong Wha San Secondary School, said late on Monday that students had responded well to the Summer 2004 News Reading Programme.
The programme is part of eng-class.com - a partnership between Hong Kong School Net of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Panel Resources. It offers daily online exercises to students from Primary 1 to Secondary 3.
The programme uses exercises adapted from news articles in Young Post and TotallyHK - which the students practise reading.
Over 50,000 students from 120 primary and secondary schools participated in the programme.
