Congratulations to Canto-pop singer Eason Chan Yik-shun on becoming a father for the first time. His girlfriend Hilary Tsui Ho-ying, gave birth to a 3.4kg baby daughter on Monday night.
'Hilary and I would like to thank you for all your concerns. The new member of our family is a fair and beautiful daughter,' says Chan. He says mother and daughter are doing well and the baby has been named Constance.
Ms Tsui's pregnancy hit newspaper headlines earlier this year and since then media friends have been keeping track of her.
Chan is one of the few in entertainment circles who has been willing to unveil his relationship. Tsui, a former actress, is Chan's personal image consultant.
Chan has recently engaged in acting in movies and plans to hold concerts next year.
Now that his good news is out of the way, all eyes will be on actor Simon Yam Tat-wah and his wife, model Qi Qi, who has been pregnant for more than six months.
