The District Court heard the man robbed a Danish woman of her handbag and pushed her 5 metres down a slope while she was walking along Lugard Road on May 10.

Karin Tan, 63, suffered a leg injury but avoided more serious harm when a tree broke her fall.

Three weeks later, the defendant snatched the handbag of a 30-year-old New Zealand woman walking on Pokfulam Reservoir Road.

The defendant was arrested on June 20 by police who found him loitering on The Peak.
