Feeling flushed

With the wide choice of blushes available, you no longer have to pinch your cheeks to get that rosy hue. You can add warmth to your complexion by intensifying cheek colour with blush. We've tested several and have picked the top five. If your skin has a pink or blue undertone, try a deep rose hue. Those with a yellow undertone should try brown-based pinks, and if you have fair skin, avoid bronzers and apply two shades of blush for a sunkissed flush.

1. Shu Uemura, M pink 33E ($260). Apply this light, powdered blush for a natural, rosy look. From shop UG08, Festival Walk, Kowloon Tong.

2. Christian Dior, Dior Blush No. 823 ($260). This metallic powder shimmer blush lasts all day and lightens your cheekbones. From Sogo, Causeway Bay.

3. Clarins, Powder Blush No. 10 ($220). This product creates a sheer, delicate flush. You can also dust a bronzer on the forehead, nose, jawline and neck to create more warmth. From shop 1087, IFC Mall, Central.

4. Guerlain, Divinora-Rose Chamallow No. 60, Bubble Blush ($230). This mousse blush is easy to use with liquid foundation. Apply it with your fingertips on unpowdered skin, starting at cheek apples and blending out towards the temples. From Seibu, Pacific Place, Admiralty.

5. YSL, Touche Blush No. 1 ($260). This iridescent rose blush comes in a loose powder finish and adds subtle shine and glow. It can be applied with the accompanying sponge. From Lane Crawford, Pacific Place.
