At last, the world's largest maker of small electrical appliances has finished sparking its way around Hong Kong. We all wondered how the founder of the Princess Group, Aad Ouborg, could possibly make the finale any better than the rest of his parties, but the Monday night spectacle proved to be just as promised. Starting at the Tiffin Lounge, guests of the Dutch group dined and then enjoyed a 21/2-hour show at the Grand Ballroom. Guests were surprised by performances by Laura Fygi, Spandau Ballet (yes, Spandau Ballet!), the Shaolin Performers, Joey Yeung Cho-yee and Yumiko Cheng Hei-yi. The evening ended with Mireia Verdu Tremosa from Spain (pictured) winning the title of Princess Model of the World. And as a special treat, the Grand Hyatt opened up the previously closed JJ's for dessert. Even Mr Ouborg agreed, now that the parties are over, it's time to concentrate on the merchandise.
