ROMANTIC CLASSIC

Hong Kong Ballet will stage  Swan Lake from today until Saturday at 7.30pm, with weekend  matinees at 2.30pm, at  Hong Kong Cultural Centre's Grand Theatre.

The story revolves around the love affair between Prince Siegfried and Queen Odette, who is transformed into a swan by an evil sorcerer. The spell can only be lifted with a man's undying love.

Tchaikovsky's score will be performed live by the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.

Tickets at $260, $190, $120 and $80 for tonight; $300, $230, $160 and $100 from Friday to Sunday, with half-price concessions for students. Call Urbtix on 2734 9009 for reservations.

CANTONESE DRAMA

More than 10 young performers from Shu Ning Presentation Unit will take part in The Lost Memory, a bittersweet drama based on a story by Taiwanese illustrator Jimmy Liao.

The performers' personal stories add spice to the play, which is about the pains of growing up.

It will be staged from tomorrow until Sunday at 7.45pm, with weekend shows at 2.45pm, at the Hong Kong Arts Centre's McAulay Studio. Tickets at $80 (adults) and $60 (students) can be obtained from HK Ticketing on 31 288 288.

DREAM COMES TRUE

In the film Addicted to Acting,  four theatre-lovers apply for a drama course at Berlin's prestigious Ernst Busch Academy.  The documentary portrays the students' struggle to see  their dream of becoming a performer turn into reality.

It won the Panorama Audience Award at the Berlin International Film Festival.

Addicted to Acting will be screened on Saturday and Monday  at the Hong Kong Arts Centre's Agnes b Cinema. Tickets at $50 (adults) and $30 (students) are available from HK Ticketing.
