Jonathan Paul and Lee Zhang were named co-heads of the global banking unit, replacing Frank Nash, head of global investment banking in Asia, and Brian Stevenson, head of global banking in Asia.

Mr Nash is retiring while Mr Stevenson leaves to join Royal Bank of Scotland as head of corporate and institutional banking.

Following the appointments, Mr Paul and Mr Zhang vowed to increase the number of clients in Asia using more than one service from the bank by 20 per cent in the next 12 months.

'We want to bring everything under one roof and offer a comprehensive range of services to our clients,' Mr Paul said.
