Socialite Reyna Harilela has been gracing Hong Kong's society pages for years. This year, she became one-third of chi, the public relations and events company she runs with members of her family.

What are your favourite restaurants in Hong Kong? 'Avenue (at the Holiday Inn Golden Mile in Tsim Sha Tsui) for the tian of crab and avocado with lemon mayonnaise and a wonderful cod dish. Sunday brunch is fantastic there. For Indian food, we go to Veda (Arbuthnot Road, Central) but in Kowloon, it's always Gaylord (Ashley Road, Tsim Sha Tsui). For dim sum, its Kee Club or Dragon-i (both in Central). They aren't just party spots, they have good food there, too. For Italian, I go to my friend Pino Piano's restaurant, Gaia (Grand Millennium Plaza, Central). It's one of the best.'

What restaurants do you like for a quiet meal? 'The Mistral (InterContinental Grand Stanford in Tsim Sha Tsui). I go there with my husband. Its a place we go to escape everyone. It's the 'just us' place.'

What are your favourite restaurants in the world? 'Because my husband and I travel so much, we get to sample what's interesting. Charlie Trotter's in Chicago is memorable and Wai San in Bali, where we go every year because the kids love to holiday there. It's the only time I allow myself junk food - I'm always dipping into French fries. In London, Drones is wonderful. I think it's a members-only club and the food is amazing.'

Any favourite dishes? 'I'll eat anything. I used to be very fussy about food, but now I'm not. If I see foie gras on the menu, I'll order it; I don't care how it's made, what style, what comes with it ... I just love it.'

Do you enjoy cooking? 'I don't cook, I supervise! My friends give me so many recipes that I ask my cook to make it a certain way. In an emergency, I could cook a roast chicken or something.'
