Maggie Q seizes chance to focus on film

Actress Maggie Q used to be a regular SoHo diner, Lan Kwai Fong reveller and face around town. But there have been fewer local sightings of her recently, raising fears we may be losing her to the Europeans.

She has just completed a German period film in Singapore and starts work on an action film in Germany in the middle of next year.

So when CitySeen caught up with her recently, we asked whether she saw herself in Hong Kong in the long term. 'I have an overwhelming love for the industry I'm in; film is my life and it's my love. I feel that I will have a better chance to focus solely on film for the time being if I work in Europe.'

She was less forthcoming when asked about her love life. 'Let's just say that right now, I'm at a point in my life where I'm really happy. Everything seems to be falling into place and my career is going great.'
