Au Yuen-mei of Heep Yunn School (above), who showed poise under pressure and a maturity beyond her years, clinched the Jing Ying girls' secondary singles title. The Hong Kong team member was in top form as she beat Chan Suet-yan of SKH Tang Shiu Kin Secondary School in the final. Yuen-mei, 16, also won the MVP award for secondary girls. 'Yuen-mei always maintains a calmness and is very assured,' said Heep Yunn coach Winta Li Yuk-ying. 'She has lots of potential and is committed to developing her technique. I think she will continue to win a lot of trophies.' Heep Yunn were runners-up in the doubles, where their pair Tsui Wai-po and Li Yuen-yu lost to Chan Chiu-yin and Poon On-ki of Jockey Club Ti-I College in the final. In the primary section, SKH Kei Yan Primary School achieved a double when Ng Ka-fung won the singles final, and Lam Wing-yiu and Li Ching-wan took the doubles title. Ka-fung won the MVP for primary girls.
